**PETITION FOR MIND TO REMOVE ZOELLA AS AN AMBASSADOR**

In a now deleted YouTube video filmed with her boyfriend Alfie Deyes, the vlogger Zoe Sugg (AKA Zoella) jokes about domestic abuse. She said that when the bedroom window is open in her house she occasionally shouts out “help” for a laugh — and finds it amusing to wind her boyfriend up by pretending to neighbours that she’s being abused. 

This behaviour is abhorrent and shows how domestic abuse is trivialised in society. It is unacceptable for Zoe to remain an ambassador for Mind, the mental health charity, given that many victims of domestic abuse go on to suffer poor mental health.

By keeping Zoe on as an ambassador, Mind are in effect condoning her behaviour. It is never ok to joke about domestic abuse. It kills more women than cancer.
