Change labour standards in Nova Scotia to reflect the 21st century

Nova Scotians deserve more Stat holiday's, O.T. BEFORE 48 hours worked, and O.T. based on a daily amount of hours worked.
Nova Scotia currently has (6) six statutory holiday's which is woefully unacceptable.
Nova Scotians are forced to work 48 hours to get O.T. instead of the more common 40 hours, or 44 hours, that other citizens of Canada have the privilege of enjoying.
Nova Scotians receive no O.T. when working more than 8 hours in a single day.
Please make the following holiday's statutory in Nova Scotia; Victoria Day, August Civic holiday (First Monday in August), Thanksgiving, and Remembrance Day.
Other Canadians, B.C. for example, receive O.T. when working more than 8 hours in a single day, AND O.T. when working over 40 hours in a week. This protects the B.C. labour force from being exploited by employers, and Nova Scotians deserve the same protection.
Why are Nova Scotians less deserving than other Canadians?
But, nothing will change if we remain silent, no one is going to give us anything! So, please sign the petition and let's get these issues addressed by the government.
