Job adverts to always state the company and salary.

Job adverts to always state the company and salary.
During my adult life, I have had applied for many roles in the industry I love. To start I would use Recruitment Sites which have become integral in the job search process. Whether it was finding my first job to get my foot in the door or looking to further my junior career; Recruitment Sites and job postings were the ‘go to place’.
Whilst being knee deep in an application for a job I know I have the qualifications for; I have had to regurgitate my CV through an attachment and then on several small, sectioned boxes and stick to a strict word count. I, like so many others have had to spend hours looking for jobs and then spending copious amounts of time to apply.
Imagine. You spend weeks applying for jobs and the job applications take you on average an hour each. You are not only hungry for the opportunity but starved by the lack of success you are having. No mention of salary on the job description but you get to an interview where the employer asks you, how much would like. Sounds ideal; however no! They are simply trying to work out how little they can get away with paying and if your expectations are too high then applicant journey is comes to an abrupt end. Russian Roulette at its finest! By having the employer and the salary on the job description you can apply with conviction.
I have started this petition mid job application as I feel it is fundamental that the recruiter/third party employer states the company name but just as importantly the salary. During my working career I have gained insider knowledge to companies that are not great employers so would like to steer clear of them. I also fear that I could be applying for a role that I have recently left so how unprofessional and poor use of time would this be? Very little of us are in positions to be able to work for free or have no regard for salary so why is this often hidden on a job advert, advertised by a third-party/recruiter or even an employer? Salary should not be a taboo subject as ultimately most of us are working for the reward of the money. Let us be mature and humanin and remember that we need a job to finance our outgoings and so an idea on salary should always be given along with the job description.
Please sign my petition to get this topic discussed in the House of Commons and have this become part of the law and a requirement. Not all of you would have faced this but ask yourself this; ‘would you willing work for little or nothing?’
I thank you for your time.
Yours sincerely,
Fellow Job Applicant
