A Cycle path for the Crawley road...for the safety of all we need this.

I live in the village of Cranfield and like most use the Crawley road to get to work, I have on more than one occasion had a near miss by both car and lorry...the road runs approximately 4 miles and is quite possibly one of the most dangerous in this area...add to it bad weather or night time (where there are no street lights) and you have a combination for a potentially lethal journey.
I am a man with a family and a 2 going on 3 year old, I decline to make the journey at night or during bad weather due to the risk factor involved...but I see cyclist at risk all the time and motorists who make dangerous and rash decisions to get round them when patience is needed...with the addition of a cycle path the option to stay separated from motorists becomes available and the risk element to us reduced dramatically.
It is only a matter of time before one of us is seriously injured if not killed...its a miracle that it hasn't happen yet.
If you feel as I do (it doesn't matter if you are a motorist either less cycles on the road would also mean quicker journeys for you...true?) that a cycle path running the length of the Crawley road ending at the entrance to Newport Pagnell would benefit you then I urge you to sign this petition
Lets make all our lives that little bit safer.
Thank you for taking the time to read this...even if you don't sign it.
