Jada Ross started this petition to Mills College and

Mills College is currently closed to the outside world amidst the global pandemic. They have been giving majorly faculty and staff permission on certain days to enter and exit the campus. Though the access to the campus is limited to Zoom conferences, a difficult health care center that has turned away multiple students due to their non-Covid related symptoms “not being serious enough, and just (11/6) receiving access to a by appointment study space: Mill is charging $615 for “technology, health services and student support” and $100 for ASMC (Student Government) every semester. Commuter/Abroad students do not have access to the campus and so it does not seem feasible for them to have to pay $615 for services they majorly cannot/do not use. Low income students currently on campus have to figure out how to pay between $5000 and $9000 a semester which means they are working and also not able to use the facilities on campus. This petition is to request transparency for exactly what fees are being covered and to create a scale for how much students have to pay based on their FAFSA information that the Financial Aid department receives.
