Aubrey Staton started this petition to Millikin University Board of Trustees

Millikin University has made the decision to allow students to return to campus for the fall semester and attend classes in person.  This decision has been made with the best interest of students and faculty at heart.  The COVID-19 response team has considered every possible outcome and situation and decided that this is the best option for the students and faculty of the university.  Several measures have taken place throughout the university to ensure the health, safety, and mental well being of all those on campus, including dividers within residence halls and restrooms, limited class sizes, requiring masks, discouraging gatherings, and providing alternative eating arrangements to name a few.

Students understand the risk that they assume when returning to campus and acknowledge the typical college experience that they are forfeiting in order to get the one that is most important to them:  in-person classes.  For those students who are not comfortable assuming that risk, accommodations may be made to complete the fall semester online by reaching out to the Vice President of the university.  Those who are uncomfortable should not be the only people heard.  Many students are willing, expecting, and excited to return to campus and support the decision that Millikin University has made.

Join me in showing our support to Millikin University and our excitement to be returning to campus soon!
