Tell Milford Schools: Provide Staff with Proper Safety Equipment for 2020-2021 School Year
Why this petition matters

Recently, Milford Exempted Village Schools has enacted a back to school plan for the 2020-2021 school year focused around the school setting during the COVID-19 pandemic. While they are doing their best to keep students safe during this time, our teachers and staff have been neglected.
Students have the option of returning "in-person" to school or remaining online, but teachers do not have that option. Teachers and staff must return back to the classroom setting. In order to keep our teachers and staff safe this school year, Milford Exempted Village School District must provide teachers with the proper safety equipment necessary to slow and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Cloth Face Masks
- Plastic Face Shields
- Plastic Gloves
- Sanitizing Stations
Protecting our staff should be a first priority for the district. By enacting these measures to protect staff, the school will also be protecting their students. Teachers already pay for the majority of their classroom items. If the district is requiring that teachers and staff return to school, then they must provide them with the proper safety equipment necessary to protect them and others from COVID-19.
