Climate change, everyone is aware of but nobody cares until the damage has already been done and is in effect.  But, once it's done there's no fixing the problems that we made; it's irreversible. We are killing our planet every day. If we don't start to act on it now we will run out of time.  This damage can start to occur as early as 2050. Although we are starting to see damage already like wildfires and hurricanes, they will be largely increased.

In 30 years we will have increases of heat levels, storms, wildfires, rising sea levels and droughts. These problems will strongly affect our health. A majority of people will die due to these; people over the age of 65 will be most affected. People will lack good air quality and the ability to have healthy food and healthy water. The United States will suffer from loss of trillions of dollars towards the damage. Effects of climate change will not only impact our air quality, it will do so much more.

The effects are already in action; the ice is melting and the Atlantic ocean has recorded bigger storms this year than the previous years. In the last century, heat waves are becoming more and more common, the increase of heat has caused trees to die from dried soil which have increased the possibility of forest fires and pollution towards the air. In the last 50 years snow has been melting too early causing damage to multiple things like less water for animals, ecosystems and landowners. The droughts and heat could also increase evaporating the water that needs to be stored.

The Green New Deal is a big act fighting against climate change not only are they attempting to pass a law to the government to act on preventing fossil fuels and curb planet-warming the activist are also fighting to gain higher paying jobs in the clean energy industry. The goal overall is to reduce greenhouse gases to avoid future damage but that's not all we have to worry about we also have to take action on racial injustice and economic inequality.
