Why this petition matters

Started by Kalen Kolberg

As most of you are aware we recently went through a closure of spring bear hunting for the state of Alaska. Although this has been resolved for Alaskan residents (with the help of thousands of you) we still need to have them correct the wording in the travel mandate and list general hunting and fishing as a critical personal need for Alaskan residents to allow Alaskans the freedom to travel to their hunting and fishing grounds. Thousands of Alaskans rely on fresh fish and wild game to fill their freezers and feed their families, especially during a hectic time like this where going to a grocery store is such a physical/financial challenge. Alaskans should be allowed to travel throughout the state to harvest fish and wild game as long as they follow the issued health mandates. Please take the time to sign and share this petition with your fellow Alaskans and share photos of you and your families harvesting and eating wild fish and game!
