- No matter where you're from, what religion you believe in, or what family you were raised in, you probably recognize Christmas as a time of generosity, forgiveness, and care for our loved ones. As such, holidays surrounding giving gifts are very common during winter time, Santa Claus being the most prominent figure. This is the first reason why I believe MiHoYo should get in the Christmas spirit, and enjoy the pleasure of giving gifts, as well as the gratitude one gets from the recipients of said gifts, by allowing all Genshin players to receive a 5* of their choosing.
- In addition, many players have grown very emotionally attached to the wonderful characters of Genshin Impact. This, of course, is just a testament to how well they have been written, and how captivating the story is. Giving away a standard 5* character would overjoy those who were not able to get their favourite because of their lack of an event banner.
- Moreover, these gifts would be an opportunity for MiHoYo to apologize to the outraged players for the anniversary rewards scandal, which pushed many to give low ratings to the game, disregard MiHoYo as greedy and money seeking, as well as, in more extreme cases, ditch the game entirely.
- As such, I consider these rewards to be of help to both parties, for the players a free 5* character of their choosing would be an amazing Christmas gift, and for the company the players' gratitude would help forgive their past mistakes.
- In conclusion, MiHoYo should reward all travellers with a free 5* character of their choosing for Christmas.
