PETITION to Migrate American Samoa Mission to the North American Division

WHEREAS: The SDA church in American Samoa was finally granted full mission status in 2020 with your guidance and support since 1944;

WHEREAS: American Samoa is still a Territory of the United States of America which greatly influences travel destinations, lifestyle, culture and how people live in this Territory;

WHEREAS: Disciples and church members strongly believe the church can serve our local community more effectively and efficiently by adopting a new church affiliation as suggested below.

THEREFORE, we the undersigned file this petition for jurisdictional church leaderships to initiate appropriate dialogue and actions to migrate the American Samoa Mission from its current regional alignment (with SPD & TPUM) to the North American Division, to take effect by the end of this quinquennium, 2025.
