**Sign this petition if you would like to protest the lack of parking available to MSU students** This petition will be presented to the Midwestern State University Dean.

I know I'm not the only MSU student who has complaint about the student parking availability on our campus. I have never met another person who disagrees with this problem.

We are tired of having to drive around for sometimes over 40 minutes in order to find a place to park. Often times, this causes us to:

-Be late for classes or exams

-Settle for parking in a "reserved" spot

-Park in a spot which is at an unreasonable distance from our destination

-Students who are living on-campus often have to park in a spot labeled for commuters

All of these choices caused by a lack of parking put us at risk for receiving a parking citation- which most college student can not even afford to pay! It is my belief, along with so many students who agree, that students should not have to suffer consequences of parking tickets for the lack of parking available to us! It is absolutely NOT our faults that our school does not have enough parking spots in which we are allowed to park.

The following changes should be considered by MSU:

-Create more parking lots on campus for students

-Limit the number of "reserved" parking spots

-Excuse the students resorting to parking in "reserved" spots from receiving a parking citation

MSU students should not be punished for the lack of parking availability on campus. Being late to classes, exams, or receiving expensive citations for parking are the consequences we suffer because of this. Change should be made!
