We the vendors, customers, and citizens would like to have a choice as to which market we attend and support. We are asking the town council of Midland to amend the by-law to include a private market ran on private property in the town of Midland; that does not need to be registered with the Farmers Markets of Ontario. Allowing one not for profit organization to monopolize the entire area for Farmers Markets does not allow the consumer or vendor a choice. The markets are held on separate days and do NOT conflict with each other.  All vendors should have a choice as to where to sell their products. Several vendors are not welcome at the market ran on town property. The private market has brought tourism dollars to local businesses as it continues to grow.

Action Petitioned For: We the undersigned are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to amend the by-law to allow the privately ran market to continue operating.
