The local community would like to feel safe navigating through their neighborhood via the installation of sidewalks or a designated paved walking trail on S Old Middletown Rd and the surrounding streets.

Although we have clearly marked speed limit signs, cars speed through our neighborhood and because of the blind curves, we can never feel truly safe when pushing a stroller or taking an evening stroll. This potential need for walking paths and sidewalks is elevated due to the number of young families who have recently moved in, including multiple families with children under age three relocating here in just the last two years. 

Sidewalks and paved walking trails would increase our ability to exercise, walk our dogs, and play with our children in our own community. There is also the benefit of being able to safely walk children to the local elementary school and new library, not to mention the opportunities for trick or treating!
