Did you know that Mid-Ulster Council, led by Sinn fein, are currently looking to develop lands, a 70 acre Nature Reserve at Traad Point to accommodate a halting site for our travelling community, without consideration to their right for inclusion in society with proximity to schools, shops and other services.

Did you know you are living in

- an Area of Special Scientific Interest, of rare natural beauty, and home to many rare species of plant and animals, who rely on the native ecosystem for their survival?

- An area on the shore of the largest freshwater lake in the UK & Ireland.

- An area ripe for tourism development which has been continuously underfunded and ignored by local government and their representatives?

The Council are acting without consideration to the future of the Shore, & its many & varied inhabitants, There has been no ecological assessment done on the potential effect of the development on this section of shore line & the water line beyond, or to the sustainability of our environment with proper investment in jobs, recreation, education & conservation.

Help us to protect the environment and area which we all value & cherish by saying no to this development and signing our petition.
