Mental Health illness has increased substantially in rural areas, in particular on the Mid North Coast (MNC) of New South Wales. This debilitating illness has increased due to no housing, high unemployment, poverty, split families, trauma, Covid etc. So why would NSW want to close the only voluntary unit on the MNC? Put simply, to stream line services to save $$$$. This may not impact you now, but many families are impacted at least once throughout there lifetime.
