Many people can't afford paying $10 a month to play games online. We already bought the xbox, and the game, so why do we have to pay extra to actually play them with people? I know many people that are hanging out with each other in real life to play multiplayer for free, and it's not safe. Sales on the xbox would skyrocket if gold was free. People would buy more games and accessories and be on the xbox more often! The ps4 even lets you play certain games online with your friends for free, and that's why many people choose ps4. If gold was free then it would make more sales for xbox, people would play xbox more, and players can spend their money on food and bills instead of a thing that they already bought twice to play.
