During a room inspection on Friday October 8th, around 4:30pm, my signed flag was confiscated by the RD. University representatives came to the conclusion that this banner was detrimental to my education and development at LMU, to the point that it needed to be not only removed from my wall, but completely stolen from my possession, simply because it contains the name of the popular brand "Budweiser". The encouragement of learning. The education of the whole person. The service of faith and the promotion of justice. This is the mission statement of Loyola Marymount University. Over my first short month at LMU, I have met countless people, and made stronger bonds than I ever could've imagined.  This flag holds a huge amount of sentimental value to me, representing the biggest change in my life so far, relocating from my small island town, where everything I knew resided, to the huge city of Los Angeles, creating a new life for myself. The flag has seen me have some of the best days of my life, and some of the hardest. My flag watched my mother cry while hugging me before leaving on move in day, watched me study into late hours of the night, and watched me create friendships that will last the rest of my life. Each signature on this flag represents every individual bond I have made so far, with each one of my new brothers and sisters. That flag represents my development during the most important change in my life, and is something that will be on the walls for the rest of my life, please help me get it back.
