The schools dress code is unfair and sexist in all terms. The dress code goes against the 14th amendment that states we are all equal. The dress code is a set of rules going for discrimination. Discrimination is when someone is treated unfair for the group they belong to. They set all dress codes where you cant expess yourself freely. And they put more dress code rules towards girls more then guys. They turned body parts everyone has into something that would "bother" people. The dress code can make girls insecure for how they dress cause they always told what to wear. They put an unequal situation between boys and girls. Yes I get if a skirt is to short but no one will wear that to school or wear one to school if they dont want to sit a certain way or be more careful. It is affecting how we treat one another cause some cant afford certain clothes that will go towards the dress code, or dont have money to buy new clothes. Schools say they want to push us towards our dreams and goals but what if we want to be a model we won't have that confidence if we can't wear it in the first place cause we always told that is inappropriate will "bother" people. And colored hair what if we want to be a hair artist but we can't afford a real wig to dye cuz if we want to dye it and on a plastic wig or a Barbie doll the hair will burn off from a chemical reaction so that only leaves ourselves. The schools punish us for going against the rules but we are following what we want/believe and expressing ourselves. They lie to us every day saying it is distracting but how can shoulders and thighs be distracting we all have them.
