This change will effect the State of Michigan citizens who pays for legitimate automobile insurance. The State of Michigan has an updated electronic system that shows if a vehicle is insured or not. So, why is law enforcement issuing tickets for no proof of insurance on person? Although, it indicates on the computer's inside of their patrol vehicle's that your vehicle is insured. As if, the cost of insurance in Michigan isn't already high way robbery. The only time you should have to show a physical copy of your proof of insurance certificate, is within thirty days of purchasing your new insurance policy. Because that will give the insurance company enough time to electronically update your policy into the system.
