Performance Audit of Judge Kevin Cronin, 48 Circuit Court,

Judge Cronin of the 48th Circuit Court, Allegan County Michigan, has a long history of violating the law and the judicial canon of ethics in order to legally batter litigants, abusing his judicial office to jail parents. His actions are not only a gross constitutional violation of the 1st, 5th, 6th, 14th and 8th amendment, they are an inhumane violation of human rights and constitute cruel and unusual punishment and torture.

In Melinn vs Melinn, (Case # 02-31493-DM), he has previously sentenced Maria Melinn to 21 days in jail for smoking a cigarette, in violation of her 6th amendment right to a jury trial and 14th and 5th amendment right to due process.

Judge Cronin has managed to sit on one exparte hearing for close to two years, which was finally heard in April 2013. The issue was that a son was struck by the father and Child protective services advised Ms. Melinn that she would be charged with child endangerment if she returned her son. Judge Cronin ordered CPS off the case and ordered that the son be returned to the father.

The case was finally heard in April of this year where the father allegedly admitted to striking the son with a bow. After taking the matter under submission Judge Cronin managed to find Maria Melinn in contempt and jailed her for 60 days to be served three days a week on a bi weekly basis.

Judge Cronin is fuilly aware of the fact that Ms. Melinn has a back injury, (which she suffered when her ex husband broke her back), and that she suffered a heart attack and has a heart condition as a result. His actions constitute cruel and unusual punishment under the eighth amendment, and deprivation of any due process under the 14th and 5th amendment and constitute a continuation of his inhumane judicial battery of this litigant.

Judge Cronin to date has failed to address Ms. Melinn's application for a stay of his jail sentence, subjecting her to further cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment.

Judge Cronin's prior inhumane and unconstitutional actions are documented in a pdf timeline.

We are seeking a performance audit of the 48th circuit court in Allegan County, Michigan including an investigation into how Michigan law is violated in order to judicially batter and retaliate against a litigant.

The public that is served by the 48th circuit court has the right to expect that this court provide a fair and impartial tribunal and upholds the integrity of the judiciary, which quite clearly does not exist. We, as members of the concerned public, demand judicial accountability.

Re: Performance Audit of Judge Kevin Cronin, 48 Circuit Court, Allegan County Michigan.

I, as a member of the concerned public, am requesting that the Michigan State Auditor conduct a Performance State Audit of the 48th circuit court. The actions of the judiciary in this court, specifically Judge Kevin Cronin and Presiding Judge Bakker, (who does not address Judge Cronin's judicial malfeasance), are a gross violation of human rights and a violation of the 1st, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th amendment of the constitution of the United States and does not adhere to Michigan Law.
The members of the public have the constitutional right to an impartial judiciary and tribunal which currently does not exist in the 48th circuit court.
