Keep Jeffery Shawn Franks in prison
Hello, my name is Lisa. I'm reaching out to you today and asking for your help. Please take a moment to read my story and take it to heart. I am not asking for pity, only justice for my beautiful daughter, Breonna Nicole. She is my world, my inspiration, my pride, and my joy.
I got married at a young age to Jeffery Shawns Franks. We were married a little over three years when we found out that we were pregnant with Breonna. I was so excited and I thought that he was too. On March 29, 2009, Breonna graced the world with her presence. She was healthy and happy, also a Momma's girl, for sure!
When it came time for me to go to back to work, Jefferey stayed at home to take care of her. After my second day back at work (June 26th, 2009) just as i was about to clock out for the day i see jeffery with breonna laying pretty much lifeless in his arms. I took my 2-month-old daughter into my arms, screaming for someone to call 911.
Jefferey has fabricated many stories over the course of the investigation and trial. The doctors state that his account of the events are inconsistent with her injuries. Breonna suffered massive bleeding in several areas of her brain and multiple fractures on her legs and ankles, consistent with a baby being violently shaken and/or limbs being forcefully twisted. At trial, Breonna's injuries were compared to an adult being struck in the head in a 70 mph collision.
Jefferey Shawn Franks received 2 years in county as time surved and been in prison since feb 2011 for 1st degree child abuse, a mere slap on the wrist. Breonna has to spend the rest of her life receiving therapy and medical care due to her injuries.
Please sign this petition and insist that the Michigan parole boaard require him to serve the maximum sentence of 15 years.
Thank you so much for your help in seeking justice for Breonna.
