Juan Willis started this petition to Michigan Governor

In my lifetime, I have been through a lot of situation that I would like to regret. However, I understand that those situations made the man I am today! I no longer yearn to be a destroyer of neighborhoods by immersing myself in illegal activities now I moved towards. Building those very same neighborhoods I help destroy into thriving communities.

Here is my transgressions that led me to a lengthy federal prison sentence. In 2006   I was selling/storing drugs in my home resulting in my home being raided where cocaine, money and marijuana was discovered. I was charged with 2 counts of delivery/manufacturing cocaine and marijuana in which I was sentenced 2 years probation.I paid my fines and court costs that resulted in me being release in one year.

In 2008, where as I was pulled over for failing to obey a stop sign, My car was search an 9 ounce of marijuana was discovered. I was charged with 1 count of delivery/ manufacturing and sentenced to 2 years of probation in which I only served 1 year because I paid my court costs and fines.

In 2014, I was sentenced 300 months in federal prison for conspiracy to sell/distribute illegal drugs .The federal probation department deemed my state priors as predicates to enhance my sentence under the career offender statue 41b.1. however,The State of Michigan has approved medical/recreational use of marijuana with the Governor's Pardon. This will afford me the opportunity to get this lengthy sentenced reduced immensely under the federal government First Act of 2018.

The Governors pardon will afford me the opportunity to remove my transgression to look forward to a brighter future. Upon reflection of my life, being raised by a single mother. I realize that no one family should ever go through something this traumatic ordeal again. I will utilize my past transgressions to help steer individuals who have succumb to the street life. The younger generation see themselves as a productive person rather than being a cancer in our neighborhoods. By listening to, for and with these individuals, we can help turn our neighborhoods back into thriving communities. I truly believe in second chances and I do not believe a person's past should not determine their future.

During my 5 years of incarceration, I have certifications in Life Coaching, Teach Aid, Custodial Maintenance,Conflict Resolution and ASQ also I have been apart of re-entry classes. Along with a summit here is an attachment of the other programs I taking as well. I have several job offers in the areas of Life Coaching, Mentoring, Public/Motivational Speaking, Real Estate and Non-profit. I created a Non-profit called Joint Advocated Meeting (J.A.M) and I also advise on several others such as, Yes We Can Yes We Will Inc. It Takes a Village to H.E.A.L. Inc. C.O.N.S.C.I.O.U.S Inc. I have created a Non-profit program called Operation D.R.E.A.M.

In closing, I truly believe in second chances and I do not believe a person's past should not determine their future, so I am asking for you all to support my cause by signing this petition, I thank and appreciate you all through out this ordeal.

                                                                                         Sincerely yours, Juan
