Reopen the South West Railway line to prevent an extra 150 trucks per day on S.W Highway

The Talison mine in Greenbushes has proposed building a road that runs very close to the public pool, cuts off the sports ground from the town and then joins South West Hwy. Apart from being environmentally unsound and a possible danger to the children of Greenbushes, it will result in an extra 150 trucks per day using South West Hwy and driving through small towns such as Balingup. This will cause more danger on the roads, particularly in towns and ultimately create further expense for Hwy upkeep due to the extra wear and tear.
