With the passing of Ms. Dawana Gibbs, I think there is one thing that we are all thinking. What now? I was never fortunate to meet Ms. Gibbs, but I have heard how amazing she was. I have also heard that it may have been Covid that caused this tragedy. We NEED to go online. The school won’t make masks/vaccines mandatory, and unless we all can stick to this strict rule of keep a mask on, then we NEED to go online. That fact is I am someone who would probably not fair well in online classes, but the need for them is clear. I know that for some of us we know what the experience of online classes are, and don’t want to go back. I never had to do online fortunately. But I know that this virus is getting closer to home, to us. Even if Covid wasn’t the reason, for Ms.Gibbs’s passing, we are at a point where we all know someone who has gotten covid, some of us know someone who has died. We need to protect ourself’s, and if the school wont make masks or vaccines mandatory then we need to shut down. If you feel even slightly the same way please vote.
