My husband passed away 6 months ago on a 3 day fishing trip out of San Diego . He passed away from a heart attack and the captain of the boat had no equipment nor training on what do . Instead of heading straight to shore he stayed put so that the other passengers could fish . There were retired paramedic and fireman on board who worked on my husband but had no equipment to help . If the captain had the proper training and equipment and headed to shore as well as satellite service for a chopper my husband could have been saved. I don’t want this tragedy to happen to anyone else due to the poor negligence of captains who charter the boats.
