I have been registered unaffiliated since 2016. Recently, I changed my registration to Republican. I changed my voter registration because of the overreaching influence of local partisan PAC named CAAG.

As a registered Republican, I wanted to attend Johnston County's Republican meeting on 9-1-2022. I was at the JCGOP Headquarters in Smithfield for 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. I was allowed to sign in and had a few conversations with people I know.

After the Pledge of Allegiance & prayer, JCGOP Chairman Darryl Mitchell passive-aggressively asked a person who was recently registered as a Democrat to leave. Initially, I did not know who Darryl was talking about, as I have not been registered Democrat in quite some time.

It suddenly dawned on me who Darryl Mitchell was addressing, because I noticed Michelle Antoine began to record me. However, it is a rule of the JCGOP that recording in meetings are prohibited.

Once I realized Darryl was talking about me, I was asked to leave. I declined, because I am a registered Republican and had documentation on hand to provide evidence.

After Darryl repeated himself three times, he threatened to have the Smithfield Police Department called to escort me out. Someone added in that the police were already outside and present.

At the officer's request, I calmly left the JCGOP Headquarters. There have been individuals online that have stated that I was unruly, caused a massive scene, and was there to cause problems.

Michelle Antoine has the recorded evidence of this incident. This petition is to request Michelle to release the recording of my attendance and provide transparency of me exiting without incident despite claims to the contrary.
