Covid 19 is now out of control on the island of Ireland. Education is important, socialisation for our children is important but health must come first at this time. Our hospitals are being overrun, our vulnerable at severe risk of death. To safely operate a school advice includes keeping windows open, PPE equipment being used. Neither are sustainable currently. Until enough vaccines are available or the pandemic is under control we should move to online education. These are not normal times and require swift decisions for the country's health and wellbeing. Our teachers, our children and our vulnerable deserve a chance of making it through this crisis. Act now. Delay opening until control is regained. Thank you.
