We understand that traffic calming measures are being considered in Burton Valley.  Traffic calming measures (speed humps on Merriewood Drive, Silverado Drive, and Burton Drive) as discussed at the 7/8/2021 Town Hall meeting will likely direct more through traffic onto Lucas Drive and Michael Lane.  To help mitigate this effect (or eliminate this potential traffic pattern change), we support the installation of speed humps on lower Lucas Drive (between Burton and Michael).  We also request that the City evaluate the possibility for other improvements that could further reduce the speed of cars, and increase safety for all road users on Michael Lane and lower Lucas Drive.
