Extremelly important to keep peoples awareness of this very important Woman's place in history, which has been overshadowed by Flrance Nightingale, Mary Secole should show in history asimportant, i feel it is awful that michael Gove is evan considering whitewashing her from our History books, thismakes megravely concerned for his motives

Its hard to believe the Govt is thinking about removing her. Simply read her acheivements and look at the paucity of black female role models, let alone think that some of the most impressive people in our history are not the generals.

Mary Seacole is a role model for all black girls as well Florence Nightingale to all white girls who want to become nurses.
Mary was forgotten and was only found less than 2 decade ago, the memory of the men she helped in the Boar War, must not be forgotten, We have a duty to erect a statue in her memory.
