Law reform to help protect children's privacy on private property

Law reform to help protect children's privacy on private property

I am asking for your help to protect children's privacy.
Imagine if this cctv camera was installed and directed into your backyard where your children play?
Our neighbours have installed 2 x cctv cameras which point directly into our backyard and our children's play equipment. Our children are aged 8 and 9 years and they do not feel safe to play freely in their own backyard as their privacy is being violated. These cameras are not being used as surveillance for their property. They are being used to intimidate and harass my family.
Currently the Surveillance Devices Act 2007 (NSW) and Crimes Act 1900 (NSW) are failing to protect children from being filmed and recorded on private property by cctv cameras.
Randwick council have stated it is not within their jurisdiction and the NSW Police are trying to apply the above-mentioned laws however have stated the law cannot stop our neighbours from using these cameras.
Our children are currently being home schooled, in lockdown and they don’t feel safe playing in their own backyard without being watched in a predatory manner.
We ask for your support to help make a change now and in future for law reform that;
1. NO CHILD should be filmed or recorded on private property without the consent of their parent/guardian
2. All CCTV surveillance equipment must be installed onto a structure without encroachment and/or height extension and directed towards the owner's property.
I hope this law reform can prevent anyone from experiencing this violation of privacy.
Thank you for your help
