Campion Hall at Loyola Chicago is an undergraduate freshman residence hall. Due to its age, it has been scheduled to be torn down multiple years prior to this year. Yet, because Loyola accepted its biggest class of freshmen, it has been used as an "overflow" residence hall.

Because of the age of this dorm, and Loyola's neglect and failure to upkeep, residents have had to deal with a number of unpleasant living conditions including mold and mice. Both of these issues have been swept under the rug and disregarded multiple times prior to this.

Recently, these issues are becoming harder and harder for the residents to ignore, seeing as the mold is making people sick and the mice have now been spotted several times.

Residents pay the same amount as every other dorm (Francis, Regis, Simpson, etc.) and are not experiencing the same care, cleanliness, and overall upkeep. It's not fair to the residents of Campion Hall that have to live in a building with these ailments.

Residents at Campion Hall want Loyola to acknowledge and resolve this issue through the proper channels.
