School reopening via online has shown to not only be more difficult for both teachers and students, but also highly demanding in terms of resources from the district. Demand that due to the problems faced on the first day of schools and the ones that are currently happening, is not being met by the district. This is a product o the poorly planned and organized return to schools via online, which was made in a rush. The Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintended, Alberto M. Carvalho, even declared that a system like this usually takes about 5-6 months to be established properly, while the school district established this system in about 6-7 weeks.Teachers were also not given access to this system until the Sunday before school started, as a couple of my teachers declared. And a course that is supposed to teach students how to use this website is not available to many students county-wide, as some of my teachers also declared.

Those are the reasons why I believe that distance learning is being poorly manage, and the best decision for everyone in Miami-Dade County, is to either cancel distance learning and restart school when conditions for safe learning inside the schools have been met, or establishing a more efficient way of providing distance learning to students that is more simple to understand, and does not generate so many problems to both teachers and students (as it was back in March when quarantine started).
