Victoria Isaacura started this petition to Miami-Dade County Public Schools

As teenagers who go through a lot of stress, anxiety, and other mental issues, our school system should consider giving students the opportunity to take some days off due to all the stress that’s put on them that can potentially affect their mental health and other aspects, it should really be taken into consideration if we want our students to succeed and set a standard of high student achievement.
In most cases lot of mental issues, such as depression, anxiety, etc are caused by the pressure that’s put on students at such a young age, the school system provides counselors and more, but this is still not enough since there are so much students still suffering from at least one mental illness but don’t want their grades to drop or put their education at risk, this is why I propose this idea, to maybe have an specific week (or maybe less) in every quarter throughout the school year dedicated to mental health, holidays do still count but it’s very important to keep our students healthy in every possible way, due to that teenagers go through massive changes in their lives, putting even more school pressure on them will only make it worse, so this is why we should take action and start providing our students with this opportunity.
Remember, this generation is our future, but if we want them to be successful we should try to help them in every way possible
