Our beautiful downtown is being overrun by scooters literally! The scooters are now everywhere taking over the sideWALKS. They wiz by you at super fast speeds expecting the pedestrians to jump out of the way. Dogs are scared and several have been hit by the unruly scooters. They are also dangerous for young children walking slowly hand-in-hand with their parent or in a stroller. Twenty somethings congregate on the corners and then all decide to ride together and even go into parking lots and the valet areas. The riders all appear unsteady while weaving in and out of the pedestrians leisurely walking on what used to be a beautiful community street. Brickell is now overrun with too many scooters from too many different companies. They are a menace and must be banned before someone gets seriously injured or worse.
