As we’ve all heard Ukraine is currently being invaded by Russia. Currently a total of 210 civilians have been killed in Ukraine. Many civilians have chosen to stay and defend their country and many have died in the effort. Soldier Vitaly Skakun Volodymyrovych died while detonating a bridge to slow the Russian invasion. He is a hero like all of the other people that have died protecting their country and those who keep protecting it. These heroes are not only fighting for their country Ukraine but for Europe as a whole. Many of us have the privilege of being able to be in a country that is currently safe and not under attack. The least we can do is show our respect and support for Ukraine when they need it the most. We can have a themed Thursday where we wear blue and yellow to support Ukraine. It may not make a big difference but we have to start somewhere. Let’s let Ukraine know that they aren’t alone!
