Us MHS students feel as if we should have the ability to have open campus lunch, especially us seniors. In past years at MHS, we've had the opportunity to have open campus lunch, but then this school year came around and everything changed... FOR THE WORSE.  The administration here at MHS says they want to treat us like adults and say that they want the best for us when that's clearly a lie. If they wanted to treat us like adults why are we locked in this building until we're dismissed to go home? We have four thirty-minute lunches in order to alleviate congestion in the halls when it would be much more efficient to have open campus lunch for upperclassmen. This would allow us students to prepare for our upcoming lives as adults, while also allowing for lunches to be longer due to there being fewer lunches. Some students have to leave class for lunch and then after lunch come right back to the same class.  Last year was an alright year, I looked forward to leaving for lunch, it was the highlight of my day, and I'm pretty sure many other students here at MHS would agree. Now the highlight of my day is leaving this building. So I'm here to say give us an open campus lunch and if you want us to act like adults, treat us like adults.
