MGP Ingredients, Inc. Board Members Spiers and Byom, and CEO Newkirk: Resign from your positions with MGP Ingredients, Inc.
This petition made change with 110 supporters!
This seems to be another example of a group of corporate executives not working in the best interests of their employees or stockholders, but in their own self interest. MGP Ingredients, Inc.'s apparent delaying tactics, seeking a stay of the annual board meeting, are putting the employees, stockholders and company at financial risk by continuing an expensive, protracted fight that seems already won. In accordance with the unofficial majority of the annual proxy vote of shareholders, board members John Spiers and John Byom have largely already been voted out. If they were respectable business people, one would hope they would recognize their obligation to the stockholders and comply with their wishes. Additionally, CEO Tim Newkirk's recent business practices and decisions have many shareholders asking for his resignation as well. Though that vote is not on the ballot at this time, those of us signing this petition feel that it would be in the best interests of the company and would help to restore the company to a corporate culture that puts it's employees and stakeholders first.
