Danny Marcx started this petition to MGM Mirage

This week MGM resorts announced their plan to sell The Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. This is very disappointing news to the many loyal customers who frequent this resort annually as well as the hundreds of employees, some you have been there for over 25 years and employment future is now uncertain.
This hotel started a groundbreaking shift on how resorts were built on the Strip in Las Vega$. It revolutionized the mega resort standard for Las Vegas and now wants to be cast aside because it’s “older”. I prefer the terms nostalgic or vintage. Those are the qualities that are rapidly being ripped out of the soul of Las Vega$.
To the executives and MGM Resorts The Mirage is just a building and in their word “the obvious choice” to sell. I and the thousands of dedicated vacationers who frequent this amazing resort find nothing “obvious” about this decision. This resort represents and sanctuary from life’s everyday struggles and heartaches. It’s a place where we meet new people from all over the country and around the world. A place where we make new friends that stay with us for life. It’s our “Happy Place”, a vacation from vacations. The place we go when all we want to do is relax and not have to worry about anything.
So before you go sell off our “Happy Place”…think of all the loyal customers you will be affecting.
