The smart card refund process is not adequate in metro railways kolkata.
This incident happened with me I had a smart card which had approximately Rs.1000 in it and I was using it regularly, the card stopped working and I approached the station master for card refund. The card was still not expired when I took the refund form. I filled the form and approached the station master two to three times, but every time they didn't did my work.
Now they are saying only Rs.60 will be refunded out of Rs 1000 and the rest will not be returned.
Sir with all due respect this is an act of fraud. The money from which I didn't took any ride is still mine and if requested should be returned to me. The metro cannot keep the money.
This is not only my problem but it is a matter of concern for a large group of people. Even if the card is expired the money in it is still mine and it is not a promotional amount which will expire they can deduct the security deposit but should return the rest amount.
