Get Tyne and Wear Metro to change the painfully loud and high pitched door tone.

When the metro carriage has stopped and the doors are ready to open there is a speaker at head height right next to the door which makes a very high pitched and painfully loud long single tone screeching noise.
The same noise plays again, but as a pulse when the doors are about to close.
It's my belief that this high pitched and loud noise at head height is damaging to people's hearing. It physically hurts to hear it. I have witnessed passengers get off busy metros commenting they can't bear the sound, and I have witnessed mother's complaining the sound is too loud for their crying babies in prams and pushchairs on multiple occasions.
Aside from that it is also generally a very annoying sound. Even if it is meant to alert attention, there is no need for it to be so abrasive.
Fellow commuters and metro users help me get this awful sound changed! Nobody should have their hearing damaged and health impaired by a service they have to use so regularly.
