MET police to make the investigation into Partygate a priority

Considering that Sue Gray already collected a large amount of evidence for what is now called 'Partygate' and has identified 12 parties that require investigation by the MET police within a month, it is reasonable to expect an expedited investigation into the matter.
Speed is of the essence as the rule breaking by members of the government is detrimental to democracy. Ensuring that such rule breaking is identifiend (by the MET police) and punished under the laws that this government has set will show that the government itself is bound by the law and that no one is above the law.
This is important as laws, as, for example, the lockdown rules, have been instituted to provide for everyone's safety. If the government itself doesn't abide by these rules it makes it more difficult to enforce these (or any rules), thus endangering people and democracy itself all in one fell swoop.
Delaying the investigation and slowing it down only helps the perpetrators and makes it appear as the law does not apply equally to everyone.
Expediting the investigation and making it a priority shows that the MET police ensures all laws are enforced equally, no matter the station.
