Kids need experiences in nature for healthy development. Mosquitoes thrive when their natural predators leave the area. Immunocompromised citizens are more likely to succumb to West Nile virus.

A Nature Center will save an ecosystem that has been filtering air and water, preserving and rationing water, storing CO2 and preventing flooding for 80 centuries. 80 acres of warehouses will rob children of their heritage, rob pollinators and birds of their sustenance, put Mesquite’s elderly at risk, and eliminate tourists and citizens ability to experience the beauty and peace of a rare relic of the North American grasslands.

Warehouses end up as crumbling infrastructure. Nature will keep serving humanity. Please help the City Council see warehouses don’t make sense for Mesquite’s last remaining high point.
