In High School, some class options include college-level classes that will earn you college credit if they are paid for and passed with a C or higher. These classes are obviously more difficult than regular high school classes. However, they are not weighted. Considering students are learning more difficult skills at an earlier stage in life, their grades should be weighted to better represent their standing in the class. Other college-level classes such as AP are weighted as well as honors classes, so dual enrollment classes should be weighted too.
