Primo Lai started this petition to menteri besar johor and

I am writing in this critical moment of time is to hope The Johor Government would consider a petition from the people of Johor for a community review to waive rental fee for businessperson during MCO.

Due to the latest outbreak of the COVID-19, economy drop has been the biggest impact in the whole world including Malaysia but I know we can fight through this challenge together hand in hand as a nation and come out even stronger and better.

The hope for the review to waive rental fee for businessperson is because we are now in a very difficult position. The obstacles that we are facing now are

  1. Paying the wages of workers
  2. Shop Electric bills/ Water bills.
  3. The rental fee of Shop/workspace.

However, our incomes are affected and most of us have no income at all.

According to the Malay Mail, Kuala Lumpur, 30 March, The Economic Action Council (EAC) urged landlords to “consider” reducing or waiving rent for businesses prevented from operating by the movement control order.

“To alleviate renters’ burden, all owners of public and private businesses premises are urged to consider discounts, deferrals or exemptions for rent payments by businesses that cannot trade,” the PMO said in a statement. (MalayMail.com)

Bank Negara previously announced that all individual and personal loan repayments will be automatically delayed for six months starting April.

This act helped shop owners to lessen their financial burden but we business renters still need to  pay for rental because there are no clear policy that has been implemented on it. Thus, most shop owners still insists us on paying rental when we have no income.

With all due respect, we do hope the Government of Johor would lend a helping hand to the people of Johor.

So we hope The Government review to waive rental fee for businessperson on this difficult time.

Thank you.

  1. 必須支付员工的薪资;
  2. 缴交店面的电费/水费;

(MalayMail.com)
