Enough is enough. We are CHILDREN. We are not 911 operators. We are not therapists. WE ARE CHILDREN. We shouldn’t have to be the one stable thing that keeps our friends alive. Suicide is everywhere. It is in books, movies, tv shows, comics, music. Suicide is everywhere. We need to talk about it in schools. School is the only place, for some kids, to get any help and resources they need for their mental health. School is the only place, for some kids, to talk about their feelings. School is the only place, for some kids, to LEARN absolutely anything and everything there is to know about mental health; warning signs, how it affects you, symptoms, what to look out for, HOW TO HELP A FRIEND, and more. WE ARE CHILDREN. We need to see change. ICCSD, do better. Be better. Children’s lives are in your hands.
