Molly Peters started this petition to Members of the University

Tackling the crisis of the rising figure of male suicide within the University. Alongside changing the stigma of masculinity hindering males reaching out for help.

In the UK men are three times as likely to die by suicide then women (Samaritans.org). Suicide is also the second leading cause of death amongst 15-29 year olds globally (World Health Organisation).

A factor that contributes to many of the suicides is bullying. As we all know bullying is a criminal offence which deserves more awareness as its a major issue that needs to be tackled. "Risk factors such as.. social isolation (IN UNIVERSITY) and exposure to bullying" (BPS, 2018).

With your help of signing the petition, this will create a wave of acknowledgment in dealing with the issue. Bringing us a step closer to helping the people who need it most.
