Dear politicians,

I heard on the news that on 8 May 2013 The Parliament of New South Wales, Australia, has passed a motion recognising the Assyrian and Greek Genocides and reaffirming the Armenian Genocide. ANZAC prisoners of war and other servicemen would be turning in their graves if they knew their testimonies were used to pass such a motion.

The Armenian allegations of genocide are based on a curious combination of exaggerations, miss representations, proven fabrications, and even outright lies, topped with "casualty number-de-jour". The Armenian account of history is the only one where "the dead multiply" over the years, with the number equalling their entire population, leaving no room for explanation for the millions of Armenians who survived World War I to this day. Armenian accounts make no mention of the Turkish victims, which outnumber the Armenian, four to one. One could call this religious bias and/or ethnic discrimination against Muslim Turks, but I will call it a lie.

Alleged Assyrian, Greek and Armenian genocide is a never ending story. This is not a Parliament of New South Wales political issue. You can not judge and throw mud at other nations for your own benefit, that being few votes. Since when have politicians become historians? This motion is a disgrace to Australian politics. It is an insult to the Australian population of Turkish decent. To bring up the 1915 Armenian crises (the uprising of Armenians in the cities of Van, Bitlis, Adana, and in other South - Eastern Anatolian regions) is a treasonous fifth column act. The Ottoman army was defending the country in a full-scale world war on all fronts throughout the three continents, including Gallipoli against The Anzacs.

The article published in the AssuriaTimes on Friday 17 May 2013, made reference to Opposition Leader John Robertson speaking in support of the motion which was moved in State Parliament on Wednesday 8 May 2013, and saying as "Mr Zangari expressed regret that Premier Barry O’Farrell brought the motion before the Parliament with only three hours’ notice." For what purpose was the motion rushed? Why wasn't the public informed? I am sure the NSW government has more pressing issues that need to be heard in parliament.
Dear politicians, if you genuinely believe you are in a position to pass motions that recognise the genocides and people suffering that took place in a country you may not have visited, perhaps you should consider passing a motion recognising the 'genocides' that have taken place on your own soil. Massacres such as the Risdon Cove Massacre and the first British and Australian massacre of Indigenous Tasmanians have conveniently been forgotten. Gov. George Arthur waged a systematic cleansing of the Indigenous people surviving in Tasmania following a suit of nation wide massacres (listed below) Australia ordered on its native Indigenous people.

1816 Appin massacre, New South Wales: 200-250 Indigenous Australians
1824 Bathurst massacre, New South Wales: 150-180 Indigenous Australians
1833-34 Convincing Ground massacre of Gunditjmara: On the shore near Portland, Victoria was one of the largest recorded massacres in Victoria
1838 26 January Waterloo Creek massacre, also known as the Slaughterhouse Creek or Australia Day massacre
1838 Myall Creek massacre - 10 June: 280 people killed
May–June 1839 Campaspe Plains massacre, Campaspe Creek
1840-50 - the Gippsland massacres in which 250-1000 Indigenous Australians
1842 Settlers poisoned 150 Aboriginal people to death in the Brisbane valley in
1842 Kilcoy Station owned by MacKenzie, 130-160 people of the Kabi massacre.
1842 Evans Head or 'Goanna Headland ' massacre - the 1842 massacre of 100 Bundjalung tribes.
1843 Warrigal Creek massacre, amounting to 100-180 Aboriginal people
1857 Massacre of the Yeeman. In the early hours of the 27 October 1857
1867 Goulbolba Hill Massacre, Central Queensland: unknown number killed
1884 Battle Mountain: 200 Kalkadoon people killed near Mount Isa, Queensland
1918 Bentinck Island: Part of the Mornington Island group, Bentinck Island was home to the Kaiadilt clan of just over 200 people
1928 Coniston massacre: A WW1 veteran shot 132 Aboriginal people at Coniston in the Northern Territory At least 500 people were killed, but other figures estimate up to 1,500; however, it is extremely difficult to be certain about the real death toll.

Why hasn't the Parliament of New South Wales passed a motion on short notice, recognise Australia's own 'genocide' on its Indigenous people?

If the Parliament of New South Wales is reaffirming genocide, why don't you bring to motion the Azerbaijanis Khodjaly massacre carried out by Armenians about 20 years ago. Crimes committed by Armenia since 1992 include:

a) Aggression and ethnic cleansing in Karabakh (1988-present);

b) Forced aggression and ethnic cleansing of Azerbaijanis in Azerbaijani, where Armenians occupy 20% Azerbaijani (1992-present), causing one million non-combatant Azerbaijanis to be refugees on Azerbaijani soil in Azerbaijanis Khodjaly, Nagorno-Karabakh, a province of Azerbaijan. To this day, the Karabakh-Armenians slaughtered the entire population of the town, men, women and children; and

c) International Armenian terrorism against innocent Turkish diplomats and disinterested bystanders (1887-1923 and 1973-2002) all over the world. This includes killing Turkish diplomats in SYDNEY and an attempt bombing in MELBOURNE Turkish consulate. The bomb prematurely exploded in the hands of Armenian terrorist and only killed himself and caused great damage to a building.

It is a pity the Parliament of New South Wales is stamping a whole nation 'guilty' without proving their crime. There is no natural justice. It is unfair, unethical, discriminatory and is prejudice against Turkish-Australian. It's simply "Un-Australian". Your action to pass motion is disturbing the multicultural harmony within the Australian and Turkish community.
As an Australian citizen and a tax payer, I am disappointed in the Parliament of New South Wales and detest this motion.
