Additional commuter car parking at Quakers Hill, Schofields & Riverstone Railway Stations
This petition had 1,766 supporters
Our community wishes to address the ongoing issue of limited parking spaces for commuters. Due to lack of parking spaces at our Western Suburbs railway stations; Quakers Hill, Schofields and Riverstone, we are experiencing high risk situations. Members of the community needing to use public transport are forced to make use of any area available in order to travel. Parking alternatives inconveniences local residents on a daily basis and creates public safety issues. Residential and high traffic streets are being inundated with vehicles simply because of minimal railway parking. Driveways to homes are often blocked, as well as private properties and unsafe/illegal areas being used as the commuters only option due to limited car spaces.
The community therefore wishes to ask the Legislative Assembly to expedite the funding and works needed to create parking for 1,000 commuters at each of these stations as a matter of urgency and public safety.
Help us keep our community safe by signing this petition. We greatly appreciate your support.
