My child was misplaced the first day of school. My nephew who i pick up who had a note to be picked up was put on a bus. We called everywhere. The bus garage told us they would have him dropped off at one school and braught back to his school by a van. After waiting 45 mins we called the bus garage and they told us to go to the bus stop and they will drop him off on the second run. Nobody was gonna be home. Thats why we were going to pick him up... So finally they told us to pick him up at the bus garage. This year is tough.. Oh did i mention the schools start and let out at the same time? So if i have 1 child in 1 school and a child in another all the way on the other side of town how can i be in two places at the same time???

My sisters, I care about them so much and I’m tired of the bus system screwing them and myself when I went to school over.

Although my kids were not directly affected (I was lucky that the YWCA program was looking out for my kids) I know people that had kids affected by this. The school district was ill prepared for this transition transportation wise and it is absolutely unacceptable! The superintendent's answer was to put a live feed of the bus delays on the school website. How does this help to ensure that the kids are on the correct busses and arriving on time?! This is a nightmare for both kids and parents! This needs to be fixed asap!

It is stupid how kids don’t get home until 430 or they get lost.

It breaks my heart to hear what these parents and children had to go thru. No child should have to be traumatized like that when we as parents expect the school system to take top priority in keeping our children safe. Shame on all of you for dropping the ball and putting so many children is harms way. I hope the problem gets fixed asap even though the damage has already be done 

My son was forgotten on Wednesday afternoon by Cortland after I had a 15 minute conversation with the bus garage that morning discussing his schedule. His teacher called me at 3pm to say she had been on hold with the bus garage for 20 minutes with no answers.
Then Thursday, the bus managed to remember him but did not bring him home until 6pm. The bus driver was busy making excuses that they were late because the kindergarteners did not know when to get off the bus.
Today, there was a text notification at 4:04pm and an automated phone call at 4:32pm that the busses were running behind. The school district had all summer to work this out and this is the disaster they start the year off with.
